Hall

Dr. Hall was with Motorola for 31 years and helped develop important new product families including Motorola's TMOS power MOS line, Motorola's piezoresistive pressure sensor line, and Motorola's Smart Power (Power ICs) line. In addition he established new materials modeling efforts at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, in Russia, and in China. Over his career, Dr. Hall has worked closely with universities and with the Semiconductor Research Corporation, and from 1991 to 1994, he took a three year assignment at SEMATECH where he was Director of the Modeling and Statistical Methods Division. In 1994 he took a one year assignment at ASU to strengthen ties between ASU and Motorola, becoming the Industrial Co-Director for the Center for Solid State Electronics Research. In 2002, Dr. Hall returned to ASU as a research professor in the Chemical and Materials Department, and in April, 2004 he became the Executive Associate Dean of Research in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering.
