Dr. Samuel T. Ariaratnam is an Associate Professor in the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University. Prior to coming to ASU in 2001, he was a faculty member in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta. His teaching and research interests are in the area of Urban Infrastructure Management & Rehabilitation, with a particular focus on trenchless engineering applications of horizontal directional drilling, trenchless pipe replacement, and underground utility asset management. He has published over 150 technical papers in refereed journals and conferences. Dr. Ariaratnam serves on the Editorial Board of Trenchless Technology Magazine, Trenchless Engineering, and the ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management. He was recently named to the Phoenix Business Journal's Forty under 40 list.
