Welcome to the Fulton Schools

Congratulations—together we are on an exciting journey at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU. During this time, there will be new subjects, people, challenges and ideas. Our parent site will keep you up to date and provide a quick reference for events and accomplishments along the way.

Dear Families:

Welcome to Arizona State University and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering! We are pleased to have you and your student join the Fulton Schools family. You are joining a community of exceptional students, faculty, staff and, of course, other families.

We have a unique approach to preparing future engineers and innovators. Your student is about to embark on the distinctive educational experience we call the Fulton Difference. We are focused on student success, offering more than just coursework. We offer a wide range of applied learning opportunities to enhance the overall student experience. Our faculty members are engaged, approachable and committed to giving our students the skills and hands-on research experience they need to help them pursue their dreams.

We hope to provide an environment that stimulates excitement about engineering, and provides the support needed to persevere through this rigorous curriculum. We offer a network of support services like the tutoring and career centers specifically for engineering students.

When asked what advice they’d give to new students, Fulton students overwhelmingly respond, “Get involved!” So encourage your student to take advantage of undergraduate research opportunities, internships, competitions and social activities within our student organizations and entrepreneurship and community service programs. Learning experiences outside of the classroom will help customize your student’s collegiate experience and prepare them for success in our rapidly changing world.

For four consecutive years, ASU has been ranked as the most innovative school in the nation. It was no surprise that in addition to recognizing the university’s groundbreaking research, ASU was noted for its well-rounded and talented student body, along with partnerships and close proximity to business communities that affords students with unique, industry-integrated learning opportunities.

ASU is an exciting place to be, offering all of the resources and amenities of an urban-serving, comprehensive research university with Pac-12 athletics and a full range of cultural and social activities. There are many opportunities to orient you and your student to campus life now and into the start of the first semester.

We know that students get busy—so if you’d like to keep up on news and updates at the Fulton Schools, follow us on social media. We’re @asuengineering on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also visit the Fulton Schools news blog, Full Circle, to stay up-to-date on exciting research and achievements by our students and faculty.

Welcome to ASU! I look forward to meeting you  and your student at one of our many Fulton Schools activities.

Go Devils!
