Congratulations on your admission to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University! We are happy you have chosen one of our programs. Let’s get you off to a great start!

We recommend you complete the checklist below before you begin classes. Although not required, completing these items before starting classes will help you avoid some common issues.

Have your ASURITE id and password handy for logging in to some ASU resources.

Starter kits help new online students  prepare for success with ASU Online.

Choose the option that fits you:

 First year student starter kit

Starbucks student starter kit

Military and military affiliated students

  Submit transfer courses for evaluation

  Take math placement exam (if required)

  Connect with your academic advising office

Visit My ASU to find your academic advisor, who will help you

  • Determine your first math class at ASU
  • Determine your first English class at ASU
  • Register for your first semester classes

Required for Information Technology, Human Systems Engineering and Technological Entrepreneurship & Management students

Required for Graphic Information Technology,

ASU 101-CAI

This course is a seven-day free orientation to help you adjust to ASU online courses and become familiar with ASU resources. Refer to your My ASU task list.

Use this list as a guide:

Transfer students (students with 24 or more transferable credits)

The last steps

Once you’ve completed the checklists above, you should be ready to successfully start classes at ASU.

Run out of time?

If you did not have enough time to complete these checklists prior to your anticipated start date, consider delaying your start until the next 7.5 week session.

In the meantime you will have access to advisors, success coaches, and resources on your MyASU account to help you get ready.

Keep checking My ASU and your ASU email

Action items for new online students are always communicated via My ASU and your ASU email. Check often!
