New graduate students virtual welcome events

Newly admitted master’s and doctoral students in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering are invited to join us for our graduate student school assemblies and program sessions. School Assemblies take place throughout the week of Aug. 17

Meet other students and faculty in your school and learn more about your graduate studies. 

School Assemblies

School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering

Graduate Assembly:
Monday, August 17, 2020
1:30–2:30 p.m. Watch via Zoom

The SBHSE Graduate Student Orientation is required for all new MS and PhD students in biomedical engineering. You will hear from SBHSE school leadership, meet with faculty and other new students. You also will have the opportunity to discuss the program curriculum and other resources with your graduate advisor. We look forward to meeting with you!

School of Computing, Informatics and Decision Systems Engineering

Graduate Assembly:
Monday, August 17, 2020
8–9 a.m.

These sessions will include presentations from our director and each of our program chairs. You will learn about our academic integrity policy, the honor pledge, GPSA, student resources and see a short advising presentation. We also will host a Q&A covering curriculum requirements for specific program.

School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering

Graduate Assembly:
Tuesday, August 18, 2020
7:30-8:30 a.m.

The session will include a welcome from graduate advisors and a reminder about Canvas orientation. We will go over the FAQs that we received during registration and how to utilize other campus resources like the career center and library.

You will also learn about out Academic Integrity policy and honor pledge.

In these sessions you will meet the program chair welcomes, receive advising office information and review our Academic integrity policy.  We can also assist you with finding a faculty advisor, explain the RA/TA credit requirements and OPT/CPT program requirements.
