The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of many Fulton Schools Student organizations dedicated to the support and promotion of diversity within the Fulton Schools.

The NSBE mission is “to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.”

Ahmed-Usman

Ahmed Usman, the current president of the ASU chapter of NSBE, was recently profiled in Diversity in Action magazine. Usman, a computer science major in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and Barrett, the Honors College, believes it is “very important to get involved,” and practiced that belief in both is academic and personal lives. Besides NSBE, there are several Fulton Schools Student Organizations that exist to help students from diverse backgrounds get involved at ASU.
