Dr. Calhoun’s research interests are in fluid dynamics and the atompsheric sciences. Dr. Calhoun is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Meteorological Society, American Geophysical Union; Dr. Calhoun is also a member of the Validation and Verification Committee for DOE’s Chem/Bio Salt Lake City Urban Field Experiment. Dr. Calhoun has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Applied Meteorology, Boundary Layer Meteorology, International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Physics of Fluids, Atmospheric Environment, DOE Vertical Transport & Mixing, U.S. Army Research Office, National Science Foundation, and the symposium Research in Engineering & Applied Sciences (REAS ’05), at Arizona State University in 2005. Dr. Calhoun’s honors include honorable mention at the 12th Symposium on Boundary Layers and Turbulence in 1997 and Summer Colloquium Fellow, NCAR in 1995.
