Grand Challenges
In introducing its “Grand Challenges for Engineering,” the National Academy of Engineering reflected on how “throughout human history, engineering has driven the advance of civilization.”
The demand for well-prepared engineers and new innovations continues to grow. As humankind expands in number and complexity, engineers of today and tomorrow must rise to the occasion.
The world’s challenges require engineering solutions.
The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering are committed to addressing society’s challenges–as one of the nation’s largest engineering schools, we are committed to doing our part to engineer a better future.
We will develop solutions and make new discoveries that drive sustainable progress for our world and our primary measure of success will be the societal impact of these efforts.
