FURI Research Symposium

A powerful showcase of research performed by undergrads funded by the Undergraduate Student Research and Honors Thesis Programs, as well as, students funded under other grants. The showcase will feature posters designed by the researching students to display a myriad of work. An effective method of becoming aware of peers and their research, the symposium is just one more feature of becoming a "Fulton" engineer.

Friday, November 20, 2009, 1-3pm Outside Engineering G-wing
Symposium Application - due Friday October 16th by 12pm.
Poster Guidelines
Specific guidelines will be available on Blackboard for current FURI participants. General guidelines are a poster approximately 2' X 3' in size diagrams and highlights of research contribution.

What exactly is the Symposium?
It is a poster display of all the research supported by the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative.
Do all the students funded under the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative have to present a poster?
Yes.
Can any student present at the FURI Symposium?
Student must be in full-time undergraduate students in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and in good academic standing. Students must also be conducting research under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
Do students receiving funding in the Travel Grant Program have to present at the Symposium?
Yes.
What if it costs students to create the poster - will FURI pay?
Yes. These details will be worked out during the period leading up to the Symposium.
