Mission Statement
PEP is a resource network to assist new School of Engineering Classified Staff and Service Professional employees during the first 90 days of their employment to support the transition process.
The Peer Pal Profile
- Subject Matter Expertise
- Two years employment within the School of Engineering
- Supervisor’s endorsement
- One to two year commitment
The Peer Pal’s Main Responsibilities
- Provide a short bio of self highlighting strengths and commitment
- Track new employee(s) for 90 days
- Answer (small question) emails that new employee sends within 24 hours
- Keep in friendly communication with new employee – weekly for the first 30 days and then bi-weekly for the remaining 60 days
- Report periodic feedback regarding PEP to GST
- Attend Engineering Orientation Luncheon (as needed)
