Grand Challenges Video
Hello, my name is Deirdre Meldrum and I am the dean of the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Engineering family. The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering has approximately 6,000 students, 210 tenured and tenure-track faculty members and 300 staff members. As our friends in the Del E. Webb School of Construction would say, “The most important part of a bridge is its support.” Thanks to the staff support of our faculty and students, Engineering is able to achieve its goals in excellence each year. As with any new job, there are always feelings of excitement and trepidation. Making a good impression, making new friends, as well as getting acclimated to a new environment, are all issues we deal with when starting a new job. We have created this Web site to help you get a jump start to your new position Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. On this Web site, you will find necessary information as well as helpful links to Web sites you will be utilizing while employed here at the school. Please make it a point to go through these Web sites and get familiar with the information provided. Your new hire packet, key request and computer access forms are three forms you will want to have competed before your first day of employment. If you have any questions regarding these forms or the information provided, please contact your future supervisor or one of the on boarding members. Always remember, “the time is right for Engineering.” I hope you agree that through all of our hard work and dedication, we can truly make this a New American University.
