Bio: Dr. Ravi Gorur joined the faculty at ASU in 1987 as
an assistant professor after graduating with a PhD from
the University of Windsor, Canada, in 1986. Since 1995,
he has held the position of professor, and presently he is
the Program Chair in the School of Electrical, Computer
and Energy Engineering.

Bio: Susan Edgington joined ASU in 2002 and ECEE in 2011.
She received her BS in Accountancy from the University of Arizona.
As administrative director for QESST, Susan oversees operations,
financial, personnel and information management for a multi-university
center including ASU and seven university partners/affiliates (subcontractors).

Bio: Emily Fassett joined ECEE in 2008. She received her
Bachelor of Arts in Art History at ASU. As Research
Advancement Manager for ECEE, Emily is the administrative
lead for pre- and post-award management of the school’s

Bio: Lauren joined ASU in 2002 and ECEE in 2009. She
received her BS and MS in Sociology at Illinois State
University and her Ph.D. in Family Studies & Human Development
from The University of Arizona. As advising center coordinator
and undergraduate advisor for ECEE, Lauren manages the electrical
engineering advising center and counsels undergraduate students
regarding academics.

Bio: Cynthia Moayedpardazi joined ASU in 2001. She

Bio: Stephen M. Phillips received a BS degree in
electrical engineering from Cornell University in
1984 and MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering
from Stanford University in 1985 and 1988, respectively. In 2002,
he joined the faculty of Arizona State University as professor of
electrical engineering and was appointed department chair in
2005 and school director in 2009.

Bio: Konstantinos Tsakalis joined the ASU faculty in 1988
and is currently a professor. He received an MS in chemical
