Message from the Engineering Alumni Chapter President

Hi everyone!
I’m Rick Hudson and I currently serve as the president of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Alumni Chapter. I am proud to say that I am a third-generation graduate of one of the only public universities in the United States formed by popular mandate. I say that with pride, because my father was a part of that effort which gave us the opportunity to call ourselves alumni of an engineering school at ASU. From that late start in 1958 to today, the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering are ranked among the leading institutions for engineering education in the world.
Since graduating in 1987, the depth and breadth of available majors and areas of emphasis across the schools is impressive, both in its evolution and its growth. As an alumni chapter, we are here to collectively support the schools in their mission of excellence as a part of ASU’s global vision to be the model of the New American University. We do this by offering each of you the opportunity to get involved in a number of great events involving service, fun and association. Our chapter year begins with our signature event, E2 Camp in August, where you can give a few hours of your time to reach out to the newest of our future membership. The year ends with our June Mixer, where you can meet the newest of our current membership. In between, we have a little bit of something for everyone.
Please take the time to visit our website regularly and
find the events that interest you. Whether you choose to attend one or all, you
are always welcome and I know that you will enjoy your experience. We have an outstanding group of proud
engineering alumni members who support this chapter and our numbers keep
growing. I would be remiss not to thank the deans of the Ira A. Fulton Schools
of Engineering for their continued support, as well as their team of dedicated
staff, who do most of the heavy lifting necessary to bring these events to us.
I hope that each of you will have the opportunity to meet them at our events.
I look forward to seeing you soon! Go
Sun Devils!
